I kept seeing this keyboard pop up everywhere, the kind that always seems interesting but somehow never makes it into your cart. At first, I had doubts about the build quality and wasn’t fully convinced it would live up to the hype. Months ago, I watched a very positive review from Hipoyotec, yet I still hesitated. Eventually, my ongoing keyboard addiction won out, and I decided to give it a chance—and I’m genuinely glad I did. From the first use, it felt solid, smooth, and deeply satisfying to type on. The sound profile is rich and creamy, the structure feels sturdy, and the overall quality is immediately noticeable. It’s easily worth the price, and the right-side layout is especially well thought out. It works flawlessly with Linux and looks clean and modern on the desk, which only adds to the experience. Out of the box, it already feels refined and complete. If I had to nitpick, I would say I wish the box included a few extras like spare keycaps or switches, but that’s more my collector mindset than a real complaint. I own a lot of keyboards at this point—cheap ones, midrange boards, and so-called premium models. I rarely spend over $150 and usually stay under $90, so finding a keyboard that feels like a hidden gem is always exciting for me. One of the joys of this hobby is upgrading average boards and turning them into something special. I’ve even turned a $7 keyboard into a favorite travel companion with some simple mods.

I really like this number pad, especially because it includes several extra keys such as Page Up, Page Down, Home, Tab, and Delete, which make everyday work much more efficient. The dedicated calculator key is a particularly nice touch and saves time when you need quick access without interrupting your workflow. The build quality feels solid and well thought out, giving the impression of a durable and reliable accessory. One limitation I’ve noticed is that modifier key combinations, such as holding Ctrl or Cmd while pressing keys on the number pad, don’t work. This doesn’t feel like a design flaw to me, as it seems to be a common limitation with standalone number pads in general. Because of that, I didn’t reduce my rating for this behavior. Another small detail is the angle of the number pad, which lies flatter than an Apple wireless keyboard. It would have been even better if the slope matched more closely for a perfectly uniform setup. That said, this is easy enough to adjust by adding small feet to raise it slightly. Overall, the number pad is well made, thoughtfully designed, and offers excellent value for the price.

When I first received this number pad, I honestly almost returned it right away. I was sure I had ordered the version with red switches, but it arrived with blue switches instead, which immediately threw me off. At that point, I even started to think that the product might be unusable for me, regardless of the switch type. After looking for alternatives, I decided to give this one another chance and went back to read more reviews. One reviewer mentioned that replacing the keycaps completely changed the experience, which turned out to be exactly the issue I was having too. The stock keycaps are painted and paired with a very bright backlight, which makes the lighting practically pointless in my opinion. The light simply doesn’t shine through painted caps in a useful way. Just when I was ready to give up, I swapped the keycaps for a cheap $6 set, and the difference was immediate. The new flat, smooth keycaps allowed the white backlight to shine through properly and completely transformed how the keypad looked and felt. I then exchanged the blue switch version for red switches, and at that point everything clicked into place. For the price, it’s absolutely worth buying this keypad and spending a few extra dollars on better keycaps. Replacing the keycaps was surprisingly easy, even though I had never done it before. The only thing to be careful with is the larger keys like Enter and Plus, as they can be tricky if you rush. I nearly pulled a switch out, but with some patience and a slow approach, it was easily fixed. Once set up, the keypad feels fantastic to use.

This keyboard honestly has no business being as good as it is, especially at this price point. The aluminum chassis gives it the solid, premium feel you would normally expect from a $200+ keyboard, yet it costs only a fraction of that. It doesn’t feel light or cheap in the slightest, and there is zero flex when typing, which immediately inspires confidence. The linear switches are exceptionally smooth, with no binding, scratching, or unwanted noise from the frame. If you’re coming from clicky or tactile switches, there is a short adjustment period, but the payoff is absolutely worth it. The sound profile is one of the highlights. It delivers a rich, creamy, thocky tone that is deeply satisfying while remaining quiet enough for office or shared workspaces. You can clearly tell the internal foam dampening is doing its job. Functionality has also been outstanding so far. I’ve tested it in wired mode, via the USB adapter, and over Bluetooth, and all three connections work flawlessly. The keyboard supports switching between devices almost instantly, and I currently use it with both a PC and a laptop over Bluetooth with virtually no typing delay. Being able to connect up to three Bluetooth devices, plus one via USB dongle and another via USB-C cable, is incredibly convenient. Hot-swappable switches and easy keycap replacement open the door to endless customization, which is impressive at this price. The only real drawbacks are the basic default lighting modes and the lack of printed system function labels on the F-keys, which can be slightly inconvenient. Even with those minor issues, this keyboard is easily a 10 out of 10 and one of the best values you can find in a mechanical keyboard today.
